Quite many people come up to my 9 month old son and talk to him even in Japan:) Especially old people. They even just smile at him from distance.

It's the same in Japan. Many Japanese are baby-friendly. A lot of strangers spoke to us like "How old is she?" "So cute." "Hey, your baby's shoe fell off."…etc😆 And many drivers let us cross a road when I'm with my child at a signalless crosswalk!

When I gave birth and raised my kids in Yokohama, I think I hadn’t been spoken to by strangers. But now I live in the countryside and I feel that people are much more interactive. Not as much as Americans but I often talk to random people 😉

You’re such a nice father. Listening about your son makes me remember my son was a newborn. He cried so mush as well. He’s 8 years old now. Those days were very tough but I also miss those days. Anyway, his birthday is Sep 27th too !
