Reselling concert tickets. はい、今回のお題は、チケットの転売です。 こちらはですね、前のエピソード、コンサートアメリカ vs 日本の後半なんですけど、 ちょっとこうやってね、あの、同じ日に撮ってるんですけど、 エピソード二つに分けて、ちゃんとオープニングも撮ってみようかなと思ってやってます。 なので今年はね、ちょっとなるべく更新頻度を増やせたり、 あと土曜日の朝には絶対一本、あの、アップスケジュールとしてね、 こう、土日どちらかっていうことが最近多かったんですけど、 土曜の朝に一本アップして、 で、セカンドバージョンがあるときは、 まあ、水曜あたりとかにアップできたらなと思ってますので、 ぜひ皆さんたくさん聞いてください。 はい、ここではちょっとチケットのね、 転売についてコンサートの続きとして話してみたいなと思ったんですけれども、 Yeah, on X, I saw a tweet or post saying, in Japan, we cannot resell tickets, although in America, we can legally do that, but in Japan, that's illegal, or something, we cannot resell tickets. So, for example, even people have a fair reason to, yeah, not to go to the concert, they cannot resell the ticket. So, I just want to know what happens in America. Let's talk about it. Okay. Yeah, so, in America, Yeah, what about reselling tickets? What do you think? Yeah, so, this might be something that's kind of new in America, like, it might be like apps now that allow you to resell tickets. There's a few different apps. The big one used to be called Ticketmaster. I don't know if that's that big anymore. But now, there's a bunch of different apps that let you buy tickets and stuff, and I think some of them let you resell them, too. But when I was going to concerts, like, if it was a big concert, and if you weren't able to get a ticket, or if you tried to buy one too late or something like that, then you would sometimes be able to, like, wait in line, and there would be these people called scalpers that would resell the tickets. And usually, they would resell them at, like, much more, you know, a much higher price than the original price. And that, I'm pretty sure, was and is illegal because those people would try to buy, like, you know, 10 tickets or extra tickets that they don't really need and they don't plan to use, and then they would just sell them for more money to make money, you know. And that is definitely illegal. But I think if you're going through one of these, like, apps or websites to resell your ticket, that probably it limits the price, maybe it sets the price that you're allowed to sell the ticket, maybe the same as the original ticket price or something like that. And so then it's legal, I guess, because you're not making any money. But even on the app, you know, there are those scalpers? Well, probably not on that same app. On a different app, maybe. But, like, on the actual, like, official ticket app, if you can resell, then probably it limits the price you can sell it at. And honestly, I'm just saying this. I'm not 100% sure, because I've never done this or bought tickets this way. But, yeah, I think there's something like this where you can resell for the same price that you bought it. Yeah. So that's the big difference between America and Japan. Because in Japan, we don't have that kind of system or apps or any websites where we can resell our tickets. So those scalpers always resell tickets at a higher price. And then people, normal people cannot resell. And it's becoming stricter. So in the past, people were reselling tickets on X or on social media. And even now, people are doing that. But, you know, now on the apps, we have to register our personal information, our names and, yeah, phone numbers. So, yeah, they cannot enter, maybe. Even other people can get the ticket. Maybe they cannot enter. So it's becoming stricter. Yeah, and I think I can imagine that also causes difficulty. Like if, let's say, you can't go to the concert. Something happened and you have another plan or there's an emergency or you're sick or whatever. And so you just want to give it to, you know, your brother or your friend or something like that. Even that is difficult now, right? Yeah. Okay, then in America, they have those legal official apps where people can resell tickets at the same price. Yeah, I think so. Again, I'm not 100% sure. I think so. I don't want to give everybody wrong information. Yeah, but I saw the tweet, I guess. So that should happen, I guess. That should be happening. So, first of all, I'd like to talk about the sale of tickets and compare the differences between concerts. That's what I was thinking. And the reason for that is, recently, with X, in America, when you can't go for a fair reason like this, I saw that there was a way to sell it at the same price, and I was like, oh, really? That's what I found out. And Riley, since it's the name of an old app, he was like, I don't know what's going on right now, and he was like, I can't tell you for sure, but I think it's still there. But in Japan, when you can't go, you can't sell it, and there's no system to sell it in a fair environment, and ordinary people have to give up, or rather, they have to choose to throw away the money, and in the end, it's a waste of money. But in America, if you think about it, it seems that there is such a fair thing. However, on a different app, I said it was a scalper, but it's a seller. And I thought I'd have them resell it, but in a beautiful way, in the sense of selling it again, there's a selling nuance, and it's like reselling tickets. I think it would be good if you could remember the resell, but on a different app, there are sellers like that in America. Are there any rules or laws to prohibit people from selling illegally? Yeah, I mean, I'm sure it's illegal to scalp, to sell tickets illegally, especially at a higher price than the original price. And often, these kind of people, the scalpers, are, I can say, shady. What I mean is it's pretty clear that they're doing something they shouldn't be doing, and they're kind of secretive, like, oh, do you want a ticket? OK. And then sometimes you can buy that ticket, and it doesn't work, like it's fake, or it's already been used, or something like that. That sometimes happens too. So it's pretty clearly an illegal thing. But I don't think, in the concerts that I've been to, I've never seen, like, police arresting scalpers or anything like that. It might happen, but I think it's, at least it used to still be really common that people would be reselling tickets and they didn't seem to get in trouble. Yeah, because in Osaka, when I went to Gaga's concert, I saw a guy, a foreign guy, an English-speaking person, selling merchandise at the time, like Gaga's towels at a higher price. So not only about tickets, merchandise or anything, they're really, as you said, shady and sneaky. So... Yeah. Go ahead. And that happens in America too, yeah. People will sell fake T-shirts or something from that artist outside the concert venue. Yeah, that happens. Yeah, what about merchandise? Not only about legally or illegally, do you buy them? Because in my case, I don't. Okay. It depends. If it's a big concert, like something in Kyocera Dome or something like that, I probably wouldn't buy merchandise. It wasn't exactly a concert, but when I went to that boiler room DJ show in Tokyo last year, I didn't buy anything. One, because it was crazy. It was like a T-shirt was, I think, 8,000 or 9,000 yen. Yeah. It was like way too much for a T-shirt. But also, that money probably just goes to the big company that's putting on the show. Not that much probably goes to the artist. But if I'm at my local shows at Too Nice in Takamatsu, then I usually buy something. A T-shirt or if I don't want to spend... I mean, T-shirts are usually 2,500, maybe 3,000 yen at these shows. If I don't want to spend that much, then I'll buy a badge or even stickers or something. I want to give the artist some money directly. Because at these kind of shows, when you buy the ticket, some of that money, probably most of the money, goes to the venue, the live house or whatever. Some of it maybe goes to the artist. But if you buy their shirt or their CD or their whatever kind of merch, then that goes 100% to the artist. So if I know that I'm supporting the actual band, then I like to buy something usually. That makes sense. So you don't buy those merch or merchandise because of the price. Because it might get sold because of the huge line. Sure. Sorry, one more thing. Also at the small shows, often the people that are selling the merch is the band. So it's also kind of like you can go and say like, oh,you know, good show. I like this part of the music or whatever. Oh,you kind of sound like this other band that I like, blah,blah,blah. And you can talk a little bit with the band. So that's also cool at the live house shows. I see. I see. So I learned that even though there is a proper system like in America, I learned a lot from that. It's like doing it from the shadows. It's sneaky. This is what I said before, doing it secretly. It's kind of like, in Japanese, it's like you can't get out of it. It's like you're looking for a way out. The people who sell the merch. That's what I remembered from Kyocera Dome. Gaga's Very Real Towels. He bought them a lot at the venue. Apple Music. I don't know. Spotify. It says Merchandise. You can buy merchandise from here. You can see it in the merch. It's goods. I talked about whether or not to buy goods. I want it. I don't think I want it in the first place. If you really like Taylor, I think I want it. The line is too long. I thought it was a little tight for 2 hours and 3 hours. I give up. I said I'd buy it for Riley. When it's a big dome, I don't think I'll buy it. Why is that? Riley is expensive in terms of money. That's usually the case. There's money in different places. I don't buy much. But in a small live house, You can talk to the band in person. There's a merit to it. We're going to have an event. I know. When it's held, The ticket price is mainly for the venue. Or the transportation fee. I have to pay for that kind of thing. There's almost no money left. That's why the goods.
