Hey Nick兄さん and 高桑さん! How's it going! After listening to all episodes here, now I've started the immersion following your suggestion! Started to watch テルマエロマエ on Netflix, it is not too exciting, not too difficult

but it does have words/expressions that I haven't mastered yet, so yeah it is nice to watch little by little. Each episode takes 30 minutes roughly, so I watch an episode twice in my 1hr immersion time. The hardest thing is "Not searching meanings"

Juuust keep watching without searching, right? It is so harrrd! Could you explain why I should stop searching for the meanings of words? I think you'd already told us that it is just simply not the best way to get used to a new language,

お！無修正ラジオずっと聞いてたので、またお二人の会話がきけてうれしいです！自分も中学と高校で英語を勉強してあとはポッドキャストと音楽とYoutubeなどのドラマを聴いてるだけですが英語わかるし喋れます。でもスペルとか文法は結構間違えます。Massive amount of input!とBelieve in yourself!ですね！私もこのまま自分を信じてずーっとimmerseしつづけます🤙これからも更新楽しみにしてまっす！

若い頃、英語が話せたらなぁと思いつつ、先延ばしにしてましたが、48歳になってやっと英会話スクール行き始めました。確かに週1回のレッスンでは、何年経っても話せない訳ですね。
ニックさんの話聞きながら、圧倒的に英語に触れる時間が少ないことに気づきました。
色んな上達法を耳にしますが、英語に触れる時間が多いことが前提の上での話なんだと思いました。
とはいえ、現在50歳過ぎの私に出来るのか？
年齢は関係ない、大丈夫と励まして欲しくてコメントしました（汗）
